The COVID-19 pandemic has forced us all to make significant changes in our lives. Disney Parks too, have been forced to reduce their capacity and put in place enhanced safety norms and measures. Disney Parks has also undergone administrative changes and there is new leadership at Disney Parks. This new leadership is sure to impact both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort. A leadership change at such a trying time aims at restarting the Disney parks and resorts the right way. Disney parks and resorts around the world have been closed down for months due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Only recently have some of them started reopening.
What is the New Leadership at Disney Parks?

Bob Chapek who is the CEO of the Walt Disney Company announced the changes. Josh D’Amaro who is the president of the Walt Disney World will be re-taking his old mantle. He was the Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products and now he will be reacquiring the same designation. He also made several other announcements that will impact Disney’s future path. Rebecca Campbell who was the president of Disneyland Resorts now be the Chairman of Direct-to-Consumer and International. She is stepping into the shoes of Kevin Mayer. Kevin Mayer has left the company to go and head TikTok. D’Amaro and Campbell, both will be working under the direct supervision of Bob Chapek.
Bob Chapek also heaped praise upon both these individuals. He said that Disney was lucky to have such a good bench of deeply talented individuals. He is proud to welcome such skilled Disney Veterans into the senior management of the company. Both of them have over 20 years of leadership experience within Disney itself. Chapek said that they intimately understood the brand and the business. He lauded their commitment, passion, and vision towards creating more of the Disney magic and entertaining people. Chapek said that he is excited to see where Josh would take his new portfolio. He called John an innovative leader who consistently performs and upholds the brand. Josh thanked Bob for entrusting the position to him. He said that he was looking forward to working with Bob to create new unforgettable memories for their customers.

Jeff Vahle who was the President of Disney Signature Experiences will now be the President of the Walt Disney World Resort. Vahle said that this was the best time to receive this designation since Walt Disney’s 50th anniversary is coming up. He said that he was looking forward to filling Josh’s shoes and come up with innovative ideas. He also says that he had commitment about creating new and unforgettable experiences for the guests.
Ken Potrock who was the President of Consumer Products will now be taking up the role of the President of the Disneyland Resort. Potrock said that he is grateful for the new opportunity. He wants to build on the legacy of the resorts and help the company reach greater heights.
